Chase Your Dream and Support Your Passion – Inspirational

Chase Your Dream No Matter What

I heard this guy not too long ago who said something I just can’t get out of my head. He basically said, “Don’t tell people to chase your dream if the dream that they are chasing doesn’t make them a lot of money. Or, the odds are stacked up against them, because you’re going to wind up encouraging them to fail.”

I think that is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. I mean, everybody has to start at the beginning, and if you are willing to work hard at it, the money will come! Can you imagine if the Wright Brothers decided not to try to build planes because the “odds were against” them? Or how about Harrison Ford? He was a carpenter for over a decade before he became an actor. Scores of executives told him he didn’t have what it took to be in film. He decided to chase his dream anyway.

How about Ophrah? She had the odds stacked against her, didn’t she? But her mantra is “live your best life” and chase your dream!

So what your passion is something that doesn’t make a lot of money right now. It will — if you stick with it.

So what if you’re up against a lot of competition. That just means you have to work hard like everyone else. Harder, in fact.

Find a Job that Aligns With Your Dream

The most important thing you must do is to find a job that aligns with your passion. Learn on the job. Develop your passion on the job. Discover new ways to express your dreams and goals and passions on that job! That’s what’s going to help you break into whatever industry you’re looking to get into.

I did it with my career, you know. I found that advertising and filmmaking make a great pair. And I was able to work in one while also pursuing my passion in film.

So I would encourage you guys to find that job, something that aligns with your passion.

And continue to work for it and don’t listen to anyone else saying that “not many people can make a living in that.”

Don’t listen to that. Just go after it.
