How to Build a Success Mindset and Watch Your Dreams Come True

I often speak about success, motivation, inspiration, and fortitude. Why do I talk about that stuff? Because I love to inspire others! But I also realize that sometimes, it’s hard to stay motivated and keep that success mindset when things get difficult.

So, let me tell you a little about what I do to fight off negativity and get my head in the game.

Running a Business is a Head Game: Use the Success Mindset to Get Ahead

When you build a success-based mindset, you prepare for everything that may come your way. Imagine a castle from long ago, preparing for battle. There is an infinite number of things that the people need to do to get that castle ready for the onslaught.

They have to gather fortifications, make repairs, strengthen inner and outer walls, dig deeper moats, secure the portcullis, stockpile weapons, ready the battlements, assign people to man the towers, and train their troops. I’m sure there are a lot of things I missed, but you get the point, right?

There is a lot to do for that castle to prepare.

When you start a business and set out on your path to success, how are you preparing your mind, body, and spirit for the inevitable battles to come?

Because there will be a battle. And then after you’ve won the first one, there will be another. And another.

Looking Inward to find your Success Mindset Can Make All The Difference

One of the most important ways that you can prepare yourself for success is to focus on YOU first. Just like the castle needed to look inward at its potential weaknesses, successful people understand that in order to face the challenges necessary, they have to be able to look at themselves and find areas that need improvement.

When I started my company, I realized that I needed help with the business end of it. I’d started in film, which was my passion, but the day-to-day running of accounts and was foreign to me. I knew that if I wanted to make it I would need to surround myself with good people who knew the business, and I would have to take the time to learn it myself. I’m a firm believer in learning. It’s how we grow.

Don’t Dwell on Mistakes. Learn From Them and Move On

I also knew that I’d have to expect pitfalls and disappointments and that I wasn’t going to let myself dwell on them.

I looked back at all the challenges I had already overcome in my life, and I made myself a promise that I would continue to believe I could do it. I looked at how I’d overcome those past obstacles and made a plan for how I’d handle future business challenges.

What are your weaknesses, and how can you plan now for your success? I challenge everyone who reads this to take a moment to really think about what stops you from succeeding. What areas in your life can you work on?

Post one of your weaknesses and how you plan on improving that in the comments below.

I look forward to hearing about your success! #Inspiration, #Takecontrol#selfdiscipline #success
