Day 2 – Positioned in the Timing
Day 2 | Positioned in the Timing
April 2, 2026
There are moments when something feels more than coincidence.
Yesterday was one of those moments.
It was my second day on staff at the church—
and it just so happened to fall during Holy Week.
Holy Thursday.
Leading into Good Friday… and Easter Sunday.
And I couldn’t shake the thought:
What are the chances that I step into ministry…
during the most significant week in the Christian calendar?
It didn’t feel random.
It felt… positioned.
Serving Before Leading
The morning started early.
Not with a meeting.
Not with strategy.
But with setting up chairs.
Moving tables. Preparing the space.
Thousands of people are expected this weekend, and it takes more than what people see on stage to make that happen.
It was a reminder:
Ministry doesn’t start on the platform.
It starts in the preparation.
There’s something grounding about doing the unseen work.
No spotlight.
No recognition.
Just showing up and serving.
A Different Kind of Win
Later in the day, I jumped into our ROI Discipleship leadership meeting—our weekly L10.
I missed last week because I was interviewing for the role at the church.
And sitting back… it hit differently.
We always start with wins.
And two of the guys shared something big—they both recently started new companies.
But one story, in particular, stayed with me.
This was someone who, not long ago, had no direction.
Trying to figure out what was next.
I’ve been there.
But now?
He owns a business.
It’s growing.
It’s profitable.
And you can hear it in the way he talks—
every phone call, every opportunity…
It’s real.
He’s building something.
And honestly…
That moment meant more to me than any metric ever could.
Because that’s the kind of impact you don’t measure on a spreadsheet.
That’s transformation.
Everything Starting to Align
As I sat there, I started to see something more clearly.
The church.
ROI Discipleship.
The leadership work.
Even personal branding on the side.
At first glance, they could feel like separate lanes.
But now…
They’re starting to feel aligned.
Not scattered.
Not competing.
But connected.
Like God is weaving something together that I couldn’t have mapped out on my own.
The Weight of What People Don’t See
One thing that stood out yesterday—
People don’t realize what it takes to prepare for moments like this weekend.
Good Friday.
Easter.
There are multiple services. Thousands of people. Countless moving parts.
And behind every moment on stage…
There are hours of unseen effort.
Chairs placed.
Rooms prepared.
Details handled.
It gave me a new appreciation for what it takes to create an environment where people can encounter something meaningful.
The Tension
I’m stepping into something that looks different than what I’ve built before.
Less about control.
More about contribution.
Less about building something for myself…
More about being part of something bigger.
And I’m still learning how to navigate that.
The Anchor
“The steps of a man are established by the Lord…” — Psalm 37:23
Maybe this isn’t coincidence.
Maybe this is alignment.
Closing Thought
I didn’t plan to start here.
But I can’t ignore the timing.
And if God is in the timing…
Then I want to be fully present in the moment.
