Day 24 – Peace in the Ordinary
Day 24 – Peace in the Ordinary
April 24, 2026 — Friday
Some days are quiet.
No big breakthroughs.
No defining moments.
Just work.
Focus.
Execution.
Yesterday was one of those days.
A Different Kind of Environment
I decided to work from the church.
Empty building.
No distractions.
Just me and my laptop.
Editing.
Creating.
Checking things off the list.
And there’s something about that environment…
A different kind of peace.
Locked In
It reminded me how much I value focused time.
No noise.
No interruptions.
Just intentional work.
And there’s a satisfaction in that:
Finishing what you start.
A Shift I Didn’t Expect
Later in the day, I had a client call.
Actually, two shifts happened:
First, it canceled
Then it rescheduled
And normally, in the past…
That would’ve created pressure.
How I Used to Operate
There was a time where every call felt like:
“I need to close this deal.”
Pressure.
Expectation.
Outcome-driven.
What Changed
Yesterday felt different.
No pressure.
No anxiety.
Just this:
“If it’s meant to happen, it will.”
Why That Matters
Because it showed me something:
Peace changes how you approach opportunity.
It’s no longer about forcing outcomes.
It’s about alignment.
Choosing, Not Chasing
I’m in a season now where:
I choose my clients.
Not out of necessity…
But out of fit.
Because the right relationship should be:
mutually beneficial
energizing
aligned
Not draining.
Not forced.
A Different Kind of Freedom
And that’s a different kind of success.
Not just making money…
But choosing how you make it… and who you make it with.
The Moment That Mattered Most
But the most important part of the day didn’t happen at work.
It happened in the kitchen.
A Conversation with My Mom
We were talking.
About faith.
About life.
About what she’s learning.
And I could sense it…
She’s searching.
What She Said
She told me:
She wants to understand more.
She wants to feel what I feel.
That peace.
What I Told Her
I said something simple:
“With wisdom comes peace… and that peace replaces fear.”
Because fear often comes from:
not knowing
uncertainty
lack of clarity
But when truth enters,
Fear loses its grip.
What I’ve Seen Firsthand
I’ve lived both sides.
A life of anxiety.
And now…
A life where I have something to stand on.
The Moment That Shaped Me
I told her about when my father was dying.
Being there.
Watching it happen.
And the only thing that carried me through…
Was Scripture.
The Anchor That Holds
“Do not be anxious about anything…” Philippians 4:6–7
Not because life is easy.
But because there’s something stronger than what you feel.
What I See Now
I see my mom differently.
Not just as my mom…
But as someone still searching.
Still learning.
Still trying to understand.
The Tension
How do you help someone find peace…
Without forcing it?
How do you guide someone…
When they’re just beginning to search?
Closing Thought
Yesterday wasn’t a big day.
But it revealed something important:
Peace doesn’t just change your life…
it positions you to help others change theirs.
