Day 36 – The Puzzle You Can’t See

May 6, 2026 — Wednesday

Some mornings don’t start with coffee.

They start with a moment that stays with you.

The Dream

I woke up from something I’ve never experienced before.

In the dream…

I died.

Everything around me was black.

Except for one thing:

a bright light in the distance.

And I was walking toward it.

The closer I got…

the brighter it became.

But here’s what shook me…

I could feel my body…

decaying.

Like I was separating from it.

I knew I was dying.

But I was still… conscious.

And then one thought hit me:

“I have a family.”

“I can’t leave right now.”

And the moment I wanted to come back…

I woke up.

What Stayed With Me

It wasn’t fear.

It was clarity.

There’s something about being faced with the idea of death…

even in a dream…

that strips everything down.

What matters.

What doesn’t.

What’s temporary.

What’s eternal.

Later That Day

I sat down with my pastor.

We started talking about vision.

Not just where things are going…

but how they get there.

And something he said stuck with me.

“God sees the full picture… we only see pieces.”

The Puzzle

Think about a puzzle.

You open the box…

and inside is chaos.

Pieces everywhere.

No structure.

No clarity.

But on the outside of the box?

The finished image.

Perfect.

Complete.

That’s how God sees your life.

He sees the box.

We’re just holding pieces.

Looking Back

When I reflect on my life…

I can see it now.

Doors that didn’t open.

Deals that fell through.

People who left.

Opportunities that never materialized.

At the time?

It didn’t make sense.

Now?

I’m grateful.

Because if some of those things did happen…

they would’ve taken me out of position.

The Hidden Movement

What looks like disruption…

is often alignment.

People move.

Roles change.

Doors close.

New ones open.

Not randomly.

Intentionally.

I’ve Seen This Firsthand

Even stepping into ministry…

The timing didn’t make sense.

The path wasn’t clear.

But looking back…

everything had to shift first.

People had to move.

Positions had to open.

Circumstances had to change.

So I could step in.

Same Thing with ROI

There were moments where I didn’t have:

  • the right people

  • the right systems

  • the right support

So I prayed:

“God, bring the right people.”

And one by one…

they showed up.

Not always when I wanted.

But always when I needed.

The Hard Part

Here’s what I’m learning:

God rarely shows you the full picture upfront.

Because if He did…

you wouldn’t need faith.

There are seasons where you’re just…

waiting.

Holding a piece…

not knowing where it fits.

But That Doesn’t Mean It Doesn’t Fit

It just means:

you’re not the one assembling the puzzle.

The Tension We All Feel

We want control.

We want clarity.

We want timelines.

But God works differently.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him…” Romans 8:28

All things.

Not some.

Not the easy ones.

All of them.

A Shift in Perspective

Instead of asking:

“Why is this happening?”

Start asking:

“Where does this fit?”

Because it does fit.

You just might not see where yet.

The Warning

If you try to force your own placement…

If you refuse to be moved…

If you resist the process…

You stay a loose piece in the box.

The Invitation

Let God place you.

Even when it’s uncomfortable.

Even when it doesn’t make sense.

Because He’s not guessing.

He sees the finished image.

Closing Thought

This hit me hard today:

You’re not building your life.

God is.

You’re just the piece.

And the moment you trust His hand…

everything starts to align.
